Our story

Anna Faggio’s history spans three centuries.

It all started in 1870 when Eduard De Beukelaer began making biscuits in his workshop in Antwerp. They became so well liked that in 1917 he founded his own bakery school to ensure the continuity, quality and philosophy of his company.

Inspired by her grandfather’s successful entrepeneurship, Ms Anke De Beukelaer decided to continue the family legacy and  in 1987 she developed her own range of wonderful biscuits and chocolates. The Anna Faggio brand was born.

Anna Faggio comes from Anna, the Italian version of her first name and Faggio, the Italian translation of beech tree (beuk in Dutch), referring to her grandfather, Eduard De Beukelaer.

And so the story continues.

Anna Faggio history includes Edward De Beukelaer who started baking biscuits in Antwerp in 1870

This is what we believe in

Anna Faggio commits to deliver quality, flexibility

and a personal approach

for every customer.

Anna Faggio crisp wafer, a new wafer with a creamy speculoos filling inside

In 1997 Anna Faggio began to export and soon a network of international distributors was established. Today our products are sold in more than 35 countries worldwide. Believing in the power of innovation, we strive to launch novelties on a regular basis to meet the changing tastes of the market.

After years of steady growth, the original headquarters of Anna Faggio became too small, and in 2012 the production plant in Beringen was doubled in size. This allowed us to work more efficiently and more flexible, a plus for our customers.

In 2016 we launched a new assortment of healthy products with gluten free and no added sugar wafers in private label packagings.

Two years later we developped the Crisp wafer, a light wafer with a wonderfully creamy speculoos filling inside. A true original that we are very proud of.
